    e-Sword’s basic screen layout has three different windows. One window displays Bible text. The other two display commentary and dictionary, respectively. If you want, you can have the entire Bible text displayed on the whole screen with the click of a button. You can create the same whole-screen output for commentaries and dictionaries too.
  • 8. How is the ‘search’ functionality?

    Searching within the e-Sword program is speedy and easy, and the functionality is supported in all versions of the Bible. Searches could be performed either by a phrase or word, and can also be restricted just to the New Testament, Old Testament, or the whole Bible. The search functionality works in dictionaries and commentaries too.
  • 9. Does the program support comparing different Bible verses?

    Yes, and it is also quite easy to compare a specific Bible verse from an installed Bible within the program, thanks to the ‘compare’ tab. In case you want to make side-by-side comparisons, you may hit the ‘parallel’ tab to have the passages displayed from multiple Bible translations.
